Former Philippine President Has Cancer

Former First Female Philippine President Corazon Aquino has colon cancer. This news was confirmed by her daughter, TV host/actress Kris Aquino and her son Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino.

In a statement issued by the Aquino family, it is said that last year between Christmas and New Year, Mrs. Corazon Aquino has experienced rising of blood pressure for many times and difficulty in breathing.  She also loss weight, lose appetite and her cough haven’t healed for a long time.

She underwent several tests until their doctor confirmed that she has a colon cancer.

Meanwhile President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was saddened by the present condition of former President Corazon C. Aquino. Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said that the rest of Palace officials will be praying for her for her quick recovery.
