Pak information minister, Sherry Rehman resigns
Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal information minister, Miss Sherry Rehman resigns from her office, but her resignation has not been accepted so far.
Miss Sherry Rehman, a close-aide of slain former premier Benazir Bhutto, who resigned soon after the crack down on the news channels like Geo TV.
Miss Sherry Rehman also accused the adviser to interior, Rehman Malik and Governor Punjab, Salman Taseer, of interfering in her ministry.
The Geo TV has been removed from the list of the cable operators and the transmission of the channel has been blocked by the government.
In the wake of the Pakistani court’s decision of disqualifying the Sharif brothers from their offices wreaked havoc over the political scenario of Pakistan.
The opposition parties a staged protest rallies across the country that further strengthen the lawyers’ movement of the restoration of judges.
The opposition parties have also announced the long march on the 16th of March towards Islamabad and the convoys of the activists of the opposition parties and the lawyers across the country have started moving towards the capital.
The civilian government is making bids to check the marchers towards Islamabad and Police have blocked the roads by the containers and trucks.

Moreover, when the relevant offices were contacted and asked about the crack down on the media but they just expressed their ignorance on that.
Similar to former military dictator, Pervaiz Mushrraf, the civilian president, Asif Zardari also thinks that some of the journalists are “TV Terrorists” and they are the biggest threat to the security of Pakistan because they support an independent media.
The Pakistan army has been called in to guard the parliament , diplomatic enclave and the Presidency, according to sources.
The schools and colleges have been closed for three days in Islamabad according to media reports.
It is an amazing thing to see that the government could strike a peace treaty in Swat valley with Maulana Fazalullah and other Taliban groups in different parts of the tribal belt of north western Pakistan, but not willing to sit down and settle the issues with lawyers and Sharif brothers.
