Violatation of UN resolution,Stop Pakistan from grabbing Gilgit,Self Rule Package fraud:Bhim

Jammu,September 7 (Vijay Kumar) - Jammu & Kashmir National Panther Party Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh with his ancestral, geographical and historical relation with the people of the region described the so-called Self Rule package as a fraud on the people of the Gilgat region to make them slaves of Pakistan for ever in the name of self rule. He called the Package as another assault of Pakistan on the UNCIP resolution of 13th August, 1948 where Pakistan was directed to withdraw her occupation armies from all occupied areas of Pak occupied Kashmir(POK) and Gilgit. Earlier Pakistan annexed Gilgit-Baltistan (November 16, 47), Mirpuir, Poonch, Kotli, Bhimber etc. (November 25) after the UN ceasefire was ordered. Pakistan committed next violation of UN resolution by annexing Chitral as its district besides ceding 4,500 sq. miles of our territory to China in 1963 in Karakoram.

In a statement Bhim Singh strongly condemned ISI game plan to annex Gilgit- Baltistan region which formed a part of Jammu and Kashmir under the Dogra Rule. The region was forcibly occupied by Pak army on 16th November, 1947 by arresting the Kashmir Governor Brig. Ghansara Singh thus converting entire Gilgit region into Pak-military colony making the innocent citizens slaves, devoid of any human, civil or basic rights for 62 years.

Bhim accused Pakistan for committing genocide against the Gilgities and Balties by keeping them off civil and political rights for six decades. He said that it was because of the long and hard resistance of the fighting people that Pakistan has come out to give them a peanut relief that has endangered their future and national freedom.

Bhim Singh urged Indian leadership take cognizance in the matter and stop Pakistan from grabbing Gilgit as Pakistan’s game plan to annex the region for ever as its fifth Province in the name of ‘Self Rule’. "Who is Pakistan to grant Self Rule under its Prime Minister when Pakistan has no locus in Gilgit and Baltistan". Asked NPP Supremo.

The Panthers Party Chief appreciated reaction of the people of Gilgit and their foremost political groups including GBF, GBUM and others in rejecting Pakistan’s so-called Self-rule Package for Gilgit-Baltistan. "Th e Panthers Party has been supporting the Movement of the occupied Gilgit region seeking liberation from Pakistan’s dictatorial rule for two decades at all levels and at all occasions at national and international platforms. And it shall extend full solidarity with our suffering people till their complete liberation." Declared the Panthers Chief in his message to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
