Political Poll Canceled

The San Francisco Straw Poll was canceled due to a sheer large number of Ron Paul supporters that had arrived to vote. The reason for the poll's cancel  was because according to Gail Neira, of the SF Republican Alliance, it was unfair. True the majority of the people whom had showed up supported the underdog Ron Paul and had showed up with signs and other means of support.

The event itself was a dinner with a straw pool following afterward. The price of the dinner was $33 but people whom did not want to eat or could not afford it or just did not have time for the meal were allowed to pay five dollars to vote. Most of the five dollar people were in fact Ron Paul supporters however when money was brought up as the reason it was unfair (Many of the other voters who supported other candidates had payed the $33) almost all the Ron Paul supporters stated that they were willing to pay the full price to get there vote in. Despite this the poll was still canceled.

This brings a terrible question to mind. Is it people are afraid of Ron Paul? do they not want him in office? But for what reason? Personally I cannot see anything wrong with a man whom has been nothing but open and committed to his values. However it would seem that the Republican party does not like his ideals or his potsion so they seem hell bent on stopping him.
