Now two demand's of the protestors has been met and that is the demand of new elections and the resignation of the FME chairman and board of directors.
Three demands are left and those are:
- Resignation of chairman (Davíð Oddsson) and board of directors at the Central Bank of Iceland.
- Independend investigation of the financial and political system here in Iceland
- Restoration of democracy in Iceland with a new constitution.
The chairman (Geir H. Haarde) of the bigger government party has told that new election will be held 9th of May but the public wants election sooner.
There are rumours that possible more big news will follow later this day or tomorrow so stay tuned!
