SRI LANKA (SL) GENOCIDE INTERNATIONAL TARGETS THE DIASPORA AGAIN

The outstanding success of the Buddhist Sinhala SL genocide has admirers not only amongst Buddhist Sinhalas but more importantly amongst sectarian anti-Tamil politicians and media persons in TN/Delhi. This tribe habitually favours contrived geo-politics/economics arguments over the key moral ones underpinning human rights when dealing with blatant SL human rights abuses. This approach makes a mockery of the human aspirations to prevent/redress the human sufferings genocide causes. These noble aspirations are  enshrined in various declarations and legal conventions issued over  the past fifty years, since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) to which all members of the UN subscribe.
Delhi marginalized the universal moral human rights considerations to support SL’s genocide war to defeat the Tamils’ armed resistance first and subsequently to styme UN war/human rights crimes initiatives against SL setting an unhealthy precedent in world politics. Delhi’s reputation is stenched by this role in the Sri Lanka genocide.
In contrast the international community especially, post Bush US, fine tuned the ‘terrorism’ doctrine to become tolerant of groups fighting genocide. Buddhist Sinhala SL decries this move away from the dogmatic view of ‘terrorism’ - ‘The United States stand on Sri Lankan’s terrorism remain(s) a mystery’ (US Fed News Service April 1, 2010). SL analyst U J Fernando who examined ‘Is Sri Lanka fast losing its true friends at the UN’ (7 April 2010) is concerned that Delhi that once supported the May 2009 UNHRC resolution applauding SL genocide for defeating the Tamil resistance disassociated itself from the recent SL initiative, namely the deceptive NAM letter to Ban (issued while not in session) opposing Ban’s proposal to appoint an expert panel to advise him on the SL human rights/war crimes.
This analyst real contribution is to shed invaluable light on the role of the Delhi South Block’s surrogate Indian officials (Nambiars and ..) in UN  delaying Ban’s expert panel to kill off progress on SL human rights/war crimes charges negating the UN’s mandated role in curtailing the genocide culture worldwide. According to this SL analyst the services of Nambiar like UN officials obligated to SL for past favours are at the ready internationally to protect those responsible for the SL genocide from UN initiated proceedings delivering justice to the victims. In effect the role of the Nambiars in the UN replicate the anti-Tamil ‘in the loop’ Narayanan trio‘s role in delivering SL’s success in crushing Tamil aspirations. SL international genocide’s Delhi arm in the UN seems to be delivering SL remarkable success in the UN at the expense of the international community especially the US, UK and EU keen on justice to the SL genocide victims – the Tamils.  The ingenuity of Palitha Kohona’s NAM letter to Ban creates concern for Fernando over ‘SL..losing its true friends… ‘. The unfortunate consequence of the South Block inspired delay in UN acting on the SL genocide crimes encourages SL to vigorously pursue the Buddhist Sinhala occupation of Tamil Eelam and for the atrocities flowing from such an occupation to go unchecked now that the three decades long protective umbrella the resistance fighters provided was destroyed in May 2009, thanks to the Narayanan saga. The international arm of the SL genocide is indeed  formidable enough to cripple the international community’s efforts to get UN to act on SL’s human rights/war crimes.
The international dimension of the emboldened SL genocide is equally strong to act against the diaspora through its diplomatic missions and agents planted in countries where the Tamil diaspora are.  After the massacre of the resistance with its leaders in Mullivayal, Buddhist Sinhala SL is targeting the diaspora for its unshakeable commitment to the Tamil cause in the very countries where they took refuge. The due process and rule of law in these countries do provide protection from the near criminal activities of the SL missions/agents, yet  their activities do instill serious fears in the diaspora. This risk for the diaspora is not while in Australia but when they travel overseas and for their kins still in SL.
The victims of the 1983 pogrom were Tamils but a sizeable number of Buddhist Sinhalas also managed to deceptively slip through the refugee immigration processing to emerge as a menacing group with its SPUR spewing out anti-Tamil diaspora venom and providing intelligence on the diaspora to the Buddhist Sinhala SL, a foreign power. The links this group resident in Australia has with forces in SL involved in criminal activities especially the SL police, armed forces and crime underworld involved in white van abductions/extortions of diaspora visitors and the kin of the diaspora is unhealthy and needs to be curbed. The fear amongst the diaspora is so strong that they desist from travelling to SL to visit their kin but  discretely meet them outside SL in Tamil Nadu, Singapore and Malaysia.
News of SL agents working with the underworld in Chennai to abduct diaspora visitors to Chennai for extortion is disturbing but the TN police action reassures diaspora visitors to TN. It is ironical that Indian Immigration still seeks security clearance before approving visas for diaspora from SL a genocide regime that views every Tamil a ‘terrorist’ whether living in SL or overseas.
Numerous SL agents planted in other countries collect intelligence on the diaspora specifically their travel plans for funneling through SL missions. This targets the diaspora visitors to SL and their kin for extortion, a criminal activity. How long will such activities continue unchecked?  The daring Entebbe style ‘extraordinary rendition’ enacted on one KP in Kuala Lumpur caused much trepidation amongst the diaspora more so when SL openly claims that every Tamil is a ‘terrorist’ or connected to it. Are not countries participating in such SL rendition acts also guilty of human rights crimes? Members of the diaspora participating in legal demonstrations against SL genocide are studiously filmed by the SL agents planted on the ground for use by SL intelligence. Is this activity legal? Filming those attending opposition candidates’ election meetings to harass votes into abstaining from voting is a widespread practice in SL. But is filming of diaspora activities to terrorise the diaspora an acceptable practice and legal? The host countries of the diaspora need to monitor such undesirable activities more closely.
Buddhist Sinhala agents planted in countries where Tamils live have SL police, intelligence and armed forces backgrounds. These agents infiltrate organizations like academia running counter terrorism courses; the intent to establish contacts with local police and intelligence officials to target the diaspora. A classic example of this abuse is the SL instigated Australian case against three diaspora members for funding the so-called ‘terrorists’ dismissed by the courts with the judge censuring the Federal Police for not acting properly. In this case there was also crude interference by the SL officials in the Australian police investigations.
The SL successfully used intelligence gathering by planted agents in its KL ‘extraordinary rendition’ case. A counter-terrorism SL ‘expert’ domiciled in a third country boasted to the media how his connections with high police and intelligence officials in KL produced a successful outcome for the SL rendition. What is the guarantee that this agent’s KL intelligence contacts does not have security  implications for the third country he is domiciled in. The diaspora has an unofficial travel warning on KL.
The international reach of SL genocide without the deterrence of the Tamil resistance is bound to widen and tarnish the image of the countries from which the SL  agents operate.  SL’s reputation to buy into organizations and officials (as it did with the Narayanans and Nambiars) will damage the integrity of the due process in guest countries. SL’s plans to build Narayanans/Nambiars networks to oppress the diaspora, citizens in the guest countries have not been successful. Vigilance of the diaspora host countries governments would prevent SL genocide culture infiltrating and tarnishing their incorruptible image.
The deeply appreciated commitment of the diaspora, over a million strong worldwide who suffered the pain of SL genocide remains intact to provide the leadership for the Tamil cause. No civil nation will encourage the infiltration of SL genocide’s international arm that the diaspora by just keeping such civil nations promptly posted on the continuing genocide crimes will earn the growing support of the international community for the Tamil cause. This is invaluable.
