Vakil lambasts Anna for working on behest of BJP,RSS

Jammu, December 19 (Scoop News) –Former minister and senior Congress leader Abdul Gani Vakil today said that Congress will never allow divisive forces to succeed in their nefarious designs in dividing the country on regional or communal basis. He said people like Anna Hazare who were working on the behest of communal forces like Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena must not try to destabilize government for someone’s political gains.

Addressing a day long party convention at Gandhi Nagar,Jammu today, Vakil said Anna Hazare and his team were deliberating targeting Congress government only to help communal forces like BJP and Shiv Sena. Former MP and senior Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta chaired the meeting. “Corruption in BJP ruled states like Karnataka and BSP ruled states like Utter Pradesh were rampant but Anna Hazare was maintaining a criminal silence. His main target is Congress which itself has launched a crusade against corruption in bigger way”, Vakil added.

The senior Congress leader said that Congress did not spare its Maharashtra chief minister and asked him to step down when his name surfaced in corrupt practices. A good number of other union ministers and Congress MPs were today behind bars which shows how tough Congress was on corrupt people. Despite the fact Anna Hazare and his team were after the coalition government at the Centre which was quite unfortunate.

Team Anna, Vakil said must support Congress at the Centre in fighting against corruption and not fight against Congress. BJP which had always banked upon divisive politics and tried to divide country on religious basis has lost a face. The party has been left politically bankrupt and has no issue left over which it could do politics in the Centre. It was towards this end that it has now put Anna Hazare on the forefront and in his garb are trying to destabilize a credible and stable government at the Centre.

He asked Congress workers to not to fall a prey to such politics and foil the attempts of communal forces who were bent upon destabilising the nation by creating confusion and unrest amongst masses. Vakil said that our country was fortunate enough to have its reins in the hands of credible people like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and AICC chief Sonia Gandhi. Since both these leaders are making sure that corruption is eradicated form the society we all must support this crusade.

Unlike BJP government Congress never helped anyone who was working against the nation. It was BJP ministers who took hard core militants and flew them to Kandhar in state planes, which was unlike a strong nation. BJP during its brief stint at the Centre had shamed the country by helping militants and strengthening divisive forces.

He asked party workers and leaders to strengthen coalition in Jammu and Kashmir. Vakil urged the chief minister Omar Abdullah to carry forward the works of former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad during his tenure in Jammu and Kashmir State had unleashed a new era of development wheels of which must not be stopped now.

The senior Congress leader asked Omar Abdullah to fulfil his promise of giving employment to youth who were craving for jobs.

Senior Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta and MLC Haji Ali Mohammad also addressed the convention and asked party workers to strengthen coalition at all costs. They said that Ghulam Nabi Azad had created new districts, constructed new colleges and hospitals and developed the state in a better way, pace of which has slowed down which was unfortunate

Besides others who addressed the convention include Seva Dal Chief Balwinder Singh Sambyal, Jugal Kishore Sharma INTUC, Leader, Senior Congress leaders Hansraj Bhagat, Namrata Sharma, lalita Sharma and several others.
