"Asif is simply silly and naive"

"I like the boy. He is naive, he is a kid, and he is a silly boy." said Wasim Akram.

"It's a stupid mistake. As an international cricketer, he can't be making such errors. As I said, he doesn't have the experience and this ban will serve him a good lesson," Akram said.

"He hasn't played competitive cricket for almost nine months and the last six months have been horrible. A cricketer can certainly do without such ugly phases. I feel sorry for Asif," Akram said, adding: "I think he has had enough and the sooner he returns to cricket, the better."
