"Clear fitness test to get in Pak team"

"The fitness tests are being held to confirm the match fitness of all players including fast bowlers, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul and Sohail Tanvir," Qadir said.

"We will only consider those players who are deemed to have cleared the fitness tests by the medical experts," Qadir said.

"There are no two opinions about the importance of Shoaib (Akhtar) to the team and it would be unfair to compare the younger lot with him. But we have decided to be particular about fitness of all players not just Shoaib since the conditions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai at this time of the year would be tough," Qadir said.

"Shoaib took the injections without informing anyone in the team or the board and this has caused a worry for everyone," said a source.
