Although Ambati Rayudu was out in the final over, he had done enough to take his side to victory pedestal

The Mumbai Indians’ one-wicket victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the Champions League Twenty20 played in Bangalore helped it register two wins out of two.
Although in this low-scoring match neither side could go past 100 yet the match produced all the thrills and went through the cliff hanger as Mumbai Indian team collected 11 runs in the last over despite losing two wickets in the space of final three balls.
Trinidad and Tobago team, playing first, was all out for 98 in only 16.2 overs with Mohammed top scoring with 23. In response, Mumbai Indians team scored 99 for the loss of 9 wickets. They were ably supported by Ambati Rayudu who top scored with 36 in 47 balls. With this victory they look a strong contender to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. Mumbai Indians team was the runner-up in the last Indian Premier League.
Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took three wickets for just 22 to hasten Trinidad & Tobago's downfall, while their batsmen Jason Mohammed who made 23 and Lendl Simmons 21 the only players to threatened to tear apart the Mumbai Indians bowling before the Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga took two wickets while Kieron Pollard, Abu Nechim and James Franklin dismissed one each.
Mumbai found the going tough in reply to Trinidad & Tobago’s 98, when Pollard departed they were in deep trouble having lost 5 wickets for 33. Then it was Rayudu who stood firm and looked all set to guide his side to victory but unfortunately he was run out in an attempt to level the scores with one ball to go.
