"Efforts on to destabilize board"

"There is a move on to destabilize the Board and make it seem as if the officials are not working and coordinating together. But the fact is the Chairman (Ejaz Butt) has full faith in me and we have a very good relationship and everyone is doing the job assigned to him," said PCB Director-General Javed Miandad.

"Look, we also know that if we as former players can't do something good in our terms in the board then no one will have faith in us in future," he added.

"I have no issues with not being involved in the central contracts process as I have been given other more important tasks. And the Chairman has not asked me to not speak to the media. This is not true," Miandad said.

"I don't think this is such a big issue. I am happy to be working for the betterment of cricket in Pakistan. I will finalize my contractual terms soon with the board," he said.

"Everything is fine and hopefully things will only improve with time," he said.

"This only adds to the confusion. I agree there should be an official spokesman of the board."
