"It'll be an honour to work with Alam"

"It would be an honour to work with Intikhab and to learn from him," Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif said.

"Frankly speaking I can't say anything until I have spoken to some PCB officials and when the picture is clearer I can take a decision. Because I don't want to rush into a job to which I can't do proper justice," said the former wicker-keeper.

"Younis has asked me before to join the support staff of the national team and I would love to assist him as I believe he has the makings of a good captain and long-term captain.

"But until I sit down with PCB officials and discuss my job description I can't say anything for certain. Nothing is final as yet," Rashid said.

"The same lack of passion caused the defeats in Sri Lanka. Our players are very talented but need to focus more and take every match as their last.

"They can beat any team on their day. But they need to keep in mind that nowadays after every match the opposition does a thorough analysis of your strengths and weaknesses and tries to exploit them in the next match," he said.

"He is a natural talent but he needs to work very hard to maintain his high performances because once he plays more at the international level the opposition teams would have done their homework on him," he said.
