OPENING DAY
The 2011 Major League Baseball season begins today. Six games today and off we go until late September and the post season. When the regular season ends my Phillies will be in the hunt for the World Series and should win I hope.
Everyone who follows baseball has their favorite team and you can inject your team in the last sentence above and I hear you! However with the pitching staff the Phillies have, I am to say the very least, optimistic. The starting 'Five Star Five' are Joe Blanton, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee, and Roy Oswalt.
I am sure there are a few million Red Sox fans who think they will win it all and on paper they look awesome. As per usual the New York Yankees will debate that.
It does not matter who your team is, in the end win it all or not it will have been another great season (as long as the Phillies win!)
If you all don't mind I will be posting schedules and results as often as possible. Enjoy opening day and the 2011 MLB season.
