The Phillies offense was not about to let Halladay carry the whole load. Ryan Howard delivered with two home runs, Raul Ibanez and Hunter Pence contributed one each. Ryan was two for five with three RBI, Raul went three for five with two RBI and Hunter was two for five with one RBI. Howard now has 102 RBI this season and Hunter Pence has a .313 batting average.
Bronson Arroyo (8-11) started for the Reds and gets the loss.
Philadelphia is now 85-46, 2-0 in their final 33 games, looking for 15 wins now, for that 100 win season. The Reds are 67-68 dropping to one game below .500.
