Another pitcher show down between the Braves and Phillies. Friday the Phillies won in ten innings and today it was Atlanta coming out on top in eleven innings 4-1 .

ATLANTA BRAVES @ PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Another pitcher show down between the Braves and Phillies. Friday the Phillies won in ten innings and today it was Atlanta coming out on top in eleven innings 4-1 .
Cliff Lee started for the Phillies and went eight innings giving up a single run on three hits, two walks and nine K's. Antonio Bastardo pitched a perfect ninth and Juan Perez a perfect tenth. The eleventh was Michael Stutes turn and in a very un-like Stutes appearance he gave up three runs on two hits, one a home run. Stutes suffers his first loss of the season and is now 3-1.
Cliff Lee pitched a great game and also added the Phillies only run by hitting his first career home run.
Tommy Hanson started for Atlanta and also pitched a strong game. Hanson went seven innings allowing a single run on four hits with a walk and six K's. George Sherrill (2-1) gets the win in relief and Craig Kimbrel (S,28) gets the save.
Dan Uggla had a homer for Atlanta and Brian McCann nailed one in the eleventh, they both have fifteen on the year.
The third game of this series will feature Cole Hamels for Philadelphia and Derek Lowe taking the mound for Atlanta. The series is currently tied 1-1.
The Phillies are 2.5 games ahead of Atlanta with a record of 56-34. Atlanta goes to 54-37 after their win today.
