Olympic Shooters Hug each at Olympics as their Countries do battle

When Russia and Georgia were teetering on the brink of war, Olympic sharpshooters Natalia Paderina (Russia) and Nino Salukvadze (Georgia) were embracing each other after having won the medals in Olympic Games 2008.

 Where, on the one hand, Russian and Georgia were bombarding at each other’s territory, the two Olympians, on the other hand, were kissing each other on the cheek after having won Olympic silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the women's 10-meter air pistol competition.

 According to media reports, Salukvadze was quoted as saying: "If the world were to draw any lessons from what I did, there would never be any wars."

 Salukvadze, who has been sharpshooting in Olympic Games since she was a member of the 1988 Soviet team, symbolized the bronze medal for her country.

 Georgia's team was first to leave the games, however the Georgian President directed the team to end competing at the games.
