River Plate midfielder was speculated to make a move as he was not being considered by coach Diego Simeone in his plans.   Now he is just hours away from heading to Flamengo as one of nine reinforcements that the rubronegro had for the stretch run of the Brasileirao. 

If things were to fall in place for the Argentine, he would be making his debut for Flamengo in none other than the biggest derby in Brazil.
