UFC® 97 REDEMPTION Predictions
UFC® middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva returns to the Octagon™ on Saturday, April 18th to defend his crown against number one contender Thales Leites. Sivia has already defended his title more times than anyone in UFC middleweight face Leites to extended that streak. Also featured Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell squares off against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in what could be one of best fights of 2009.
Anderson Silva Vs. Thales Leites
The main event of the evening will feature the best pound for pound welterweight in the world taking on Thales Leites. Anderson Silva has look almost unstoppable but his last outing was not his dominating performance and he may have been losing that fight. This could a great fight but that would mean Silva has the advantage. If Leites want a chance I say he has to take the boring fight and not stand and bang with Silva. This should go to Silva.
Chuck Liddell Vs. Mauricio Rua
Chuck versus Rua…this fight is going to be intresting. Hopefully, Chuck has relized people are waiting for his overhand right so they can knock his ass out. I would love to see Liddell return and show what he can do but unless he address the whole that people are not able to exploit this could be one of his last fight. If Liddell wins we will hopefully see him and Frost Griffin soon.
