Younis wants stars to play domestic

"Cricket has taken a big blow after the incident in Lahore, that is why it is so important for all the top players to play in this competition," Pakistan captain Younis Khan said.

"I think this one-day competition is being held at a significant time and the players need to convey a clear message that cricket will go on in Pakistan," he said.

"I haven't had a chance to talk to Younis for a while now but definitely this tournament must give a boost to cricket because the Lahore incident shocked everyone," Yousuf said.

"The semifinals and final would be shown live and even the broadcasters feel Karachi would be a better option," one official said.
