Author Explores Creative Ways To Encourage Reluctant Readers

( Wilson, NC) The New York Times reported more than 35 percent of students need remediation when they reach college, according to the federal government.
In light of the weak performance in schools today, author, E.D. Arrington, founder of a North Carolina based reading program It’s Time To Read With Me has been instrumental in promoting literacy.
E.D. Arrington presents read-alouds of her novel, Stay The Course ( Author House) at local area schools and educational centers.
Arrington says using the multi- sensory approach whereby students can experience literature via hearing the written word while visualizing the story, has proven to be a successful technique in motivating struggling readers.
Starting January 17, 2012, E.D.Arrington will be undertaking a virtual book tour.
