Edward Lanphear Accused of Abducting, Abusing Two Men

Edward Lanphear, 46, abducted two men, chained them up in his house and sexually assaulted them an affidavit released Wednesday.

Edward Lanphear supposedly abducted a 23 year-old man by offering him a ride home from a fireworks show on Saturday night. Once in the car, Lanphear alledgedly hancuffed the man and knocked him out. According the affidavit, the next thing the man remembers is being chained up in Lanphear's basement and being repeatedly sexually violated.

Edward Lanphear abducted another man, 21, outside of a bar in Wisconsin Rapids, WI over the weekend as well. Lanphear chained this man up in his garage and sexually abused him. Lanphear alledgedly tied the trigger of a shotgun to the man's chains warning that if he moved, the gun would fire. Miraculously, the man escaped and ran to a neighbor's house where they called police.

Edward Lanphear is currently being held on $1 million bail although no formal charges have been filed.
