Hollywood Legend, Paul Newman, gives in to cancer at 83

Westport, CT (Marketsblog) - Oscar-winning famed actor, Paul Newman has died at the age of 83.

A true legend of his time, Newman will be remembered for his roles in "Cool Hand Luke," and "The Color of Money." He was also an avid race car enthusiast, activist, and popcorn impressario.

According to his publicist, Newman died at his farmhouse in Connecticut after fighting a long battle with cancer. Reports had emerged that he had lung cancer, but the fierecely private actor had responded to those reports saying that he was "doing nicely," reports the Associated Press.
