LIRR Railway Collision

LONG ISLAND - The evening commute was delayed for many on Thursday evening, when a Long Island Railroad train struck an automobile shortly before 6 p.m.
The collision occurred at Roslyn Road in Mineola, between Mineola and Carle Place stations. No serious injuries were reported.
The railway was cleared in less than one hour, allowing train service on affected lines to resume at 6:50 p.m.
