McCain Rally Seemed To Be More Of A Palin Rally In Polk City, FL
As Florida is one of the crucial battleground states for the 2008 United States Presidential Election, one can expect the campaigns to of Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois and GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona to be heavily active there. We can expect the candidates and their VP running-mates to be active in Florida and the other crucial battleground states from now and until Election Day.
Earlier today, McCain’s VP running-mate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin attended a rally in Polk City, Florida (not far from where I live). The rally had taken place at the Fantasy of Flight aircraft hangar.
There were many in the audience wearing McCain hats and t-shirts. So far, there were plenty of Palin signs present at the rally. While that is fine and all, the thing is that Palin is not running for United States President.
Well, not yet.
But, Palin is not running for US President. She is the VP running-mate for McCain. There is the sheer irony of the rally. While this is supposed to be a pro-McCain rally, there were no McCain signs.
One could ask this question: Why were there no McCain signs at what seems to be a pro-McCain rally?
But there were some signs at the rally that read “Florida is Palin Country.” This would give off the implication that this looked to be more of a pro-Palin rally than a pro-McCain rally.
While the people attending the rally had on hats and shirts with McCain’s name, there were no signs and posters with McCain’s name. Overall, this was a pro-McCain rally that seemed to look more like a pro-Palin rally.
Again, the question must be asked: Why were McCain signs absent at the rally?
Despite the Palin signs out there, she is not the GOP Presidential nominee.
