Reign

I am the first shot fired
leader of torrents to come

follower only of my own path
to righteousness I will succumb.

My free fall shadows the land
and wages war throughout the skies.

For my sights have been trued.

Now Come glory, come anguish for I have not lied
struck straight through and through lined up then rewritten for all who hide

Come closer and see me grow
this pain your in is mine to trickle

This poison that both loves and washes away
only to carve many more wrinkles.

The wear and tear you find so dear
will defeat you, destroy you, compel you with fear.
