Shasta Groene's Father Testifies Against Joseph Edward Duncan

Shasta Groene's father, Steven Groene testified today against Joseph Edwards Duncan III in Boise, Idaho.  Duncan is being convicted of kidnapping Shasta Groene and killing her brothers, Dylan and Slade, mother, Brenda Groene, and mother's fiance, Mark McKenzie.

After Joseph Edwards Duncan III systematically killed Shasta Groene's older brother, mother, and future step-father, he kidnapped Shasta and Dylan.  Duncan brought the two to various campsites around Montana, where he sexually abused them both.  Eventually he killed Dylan in front of Shasta Groene and burned his body.

Joseph Edwards Duncan plead guilty and it is now being decided whether or not he will remain in jail without parole or receive the death penalty.
