11 people died in bus accident on Kargil Zanskar Road

Kargil, November 05 (Anyat Ali/Scoop News) - 11 people died in a tragic bus accident on late last  evening at Penzilla on Kargil Zanskar Road.

The bus was carrying 49 passengers out of which 38 got injured and were shifted to Sub District hospital Zanskar and District Hospital Kargil.

The injured were rescued by the local people, police and army personals in a rescue operation. The Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Engineer Punchok Tashi reached the spot last evening and helped in the rescue operation. While talking to media he said that arrangements has been made for airlifting two seriously injured person to Leh for advance treatment, and He also paid his condolence to the grieved family.

The Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, the Minister for CA&PD and Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon, Executive Councilor Haji Amir and Syed Kazim, MLA Zanskar Feroz Ahmad Khan, and Executive Engineer R&B Division Zanskar Sadiq Ali Noor paid their condolence to the grieved family and prayed for the fast recovery of the injured ones.
