147 HIV Positives Have Been Reported In 2011

147 HIV Positives have been reported throughout the Island last year (2011) according to National Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Aids Campaign sources.This number was higher then the number of HIV Positives reported in previous year (2010) the campaign has said.

The first Sri Lankan HIV Positive was found in year 1987 and since then 1572 Positives have been reported from the Island.Due to the national level awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS launched throughout the Country more and more people with risky behaviors are used to get check  their blood for the disease.
