2 militants, army Major killed in encounter in Kashmir

Srinagar June 08 – Two militants and Army Major killed in fierce encounter in Kupwara in North Kashmir.

Police said, during ambush, the militants fired heavily on the ambush party, resulting in death of one major namely Rushikash Vauadhai and Jawan namely Jagtar Singh injured. The ambush party retaliated and during firing two unknown militants were killed. Besides this one subedar namely Kashmir Singh sustained injures. The injured was hospitalized. The dead bodies of two militants have been kept in mourchary room of Sub District Hospital Kupwara for identification. More details to come.
