Coast Guard Rescues 9 Trapped by India Sea Link

The Bandra-Worli sea link, which was inaugurated by UPA chair person Sonia Gandhi yesterday afternoon, is again in the news. This Sea link is named as Rajiv Sethu in remembrance of Rajiv Gandhi. Last night Shiv sena workers have protested before the entrance saying what is there with rajiv to do with the Sea link. As the matter settled the sea link was opened for the public. And it is toll free for 5 days. But after 5 days we have to pay a sum of Rs 50 for one trip.

As the Bridge is opened Traffic Jam has already began from Bandra side. One interesting detail that hit the headlines is that nine people were stuck below the sea link.

Nine people were struck below Bandra-Worli sea link. 9 People were on board of a Mumbai police boat. The boat got struck in fishing net between 2 pillars of the sea link. Coast guards rescued those 9 people from below the sea link.
