He said government of India has been requested to expedite the appointment of Vice Chancellor so that the institution starts functioning adding that the same was must for the institution to begin academic working.

                Responding to the point raised by Harsh Dev Singh of NPP in the House, he said land has been already made available for the prestigious institution and other formalities stand completed already.

                Earlier, the legislator expressed concern over delay in coming up of the Jammu Central university. He said central universities have already come up in other parts of the country.
