Chimp Mom To Be Separated From Her Tiger Cubs

The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species(TIGERS) is home to a chimp mom named as Anjana.The chimp is aged three and is a loving mom to tiger cubs in the institute.The chimp has earlier also been a surrogate mother to leopards,lions and orangutans.

Currently Anjana is looking after two tiger cubs named Mitra and Shiva.With her hands resting tenderly on the big cats' soft white coat,the ape's affection for it's 'children' is pretty much obvious.

The two cubs are in Anjana's care since they were just 23 days old.They had been separated from their natural mother after she was spooked by a hurricane that ravaged the institute.

Anjana who quickly took up the responsibility of mothering the cubs feeds them with a bottle.Thus their friendship has only grown over the days.

But now the time has come for a painful separation.For the cubs have now become big and it would be too dangerous to keep them with Anjana as they might cause her harm.Hence the six month old cubs are now set to be moved from their base at TIGER.

A very touching tale this.It teaches us about unconditional love and how it is present even in the animal kingdom.
