Cop rapes girl in Gurgaon
Even as Bihar police is fighting charges of cruelty in the aftermath of Bhagalpur episode, a cop in Gurgaon today sullied the image of the department, when he allegedly raped a girl, who had come to file a report in the police station.
As per reports, Head Constable Pawan Kumar posted at Udyog Vihar Police chowki allegedly raped a young girl Nisha (name changed) not once but twice. Kumar is absconding since than and case has been registered against him in the police station.
Victim Nisha said that the accused Pawan, who is a head constable at the same police post, first raped her on August 11, after telling her that she had to visit the police post for immediate investigation and, then, on August 13, when he entered her house in Sukhrali, part II.
The girl belongs to district Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh and is presently living in Gurgaon told that told that the constable committed rape on her when she had gone to register a complaint regarding the loss of mobile phone in the Udyog Vihar police chowki in sector-18 on August 11.
She claimed that around 11 pm in the night, the accused again entered her home at in connection with some investigations regarding the phone. There the situation took an unexpected turn as the constable forcibly accosted her to the nearby bushes and alleged committed rape.
Demanding action against the cop, the girl said that she would pursue the case till the end and ensure that justice was done.
Local police meanwhile said that a case has been registered against the erring constable and a separate departmental inquiry would be initiated against him.
