First African-American president surprises US history
The most surprising thing in the American history is the election of the first-ever African-American president.
The international community is not surprised at the victory of Barack Obama as an American president. What they are surprised at is the fact that the world’s democracy teacher and model the United States of America never before had an African-American president.
From racial point of view, “Change has come to America.” However, the American mindset will not change because it has been there over a long period.
One African-American president is not enough to change America.
Above all, he is there to re-strengthen the White supremacy as usual.
The political and socio-economic structures of America will not change. To expect as usual is wiser.
Military force will still remain the primary determinant to maintain US supremacy over the world.
However, it is good for Americans to be realistically optimistic for some improvement in their domestic policies beneficial for different strata of society.
