Freedom House: RP Partly Free

Freedom House, a private democracy survey firm based in New York, USA has released their latest study about democracy and freedom in the countries surveyed. Freedom House concluded in their survey that the Philippines, Bangladesh and Kenya have veered away from the path of democracy and freedom.

Cases of political killings and forced disappearances in the Philippines are the factors that Freedom House based their survey or study. The Philippines’ freedom index was lowered down from the previous standings owing to the unresolved cases of human rights violations. Freedom House rated the Philippines as partly free.

Kenya, Bangladesh and the Philippines were rated according to their deliberate actions to stifle the spirit of democracy and freedom.
