Imposition of emergency rule in Pakistan

“Emergency rule is imposed in Pakistan, Pakistan Army, Rangers and Police men have taken over all the important buildings including Prime Minister Secretariat and Judicial Colony, Chief Justice Supreme Court Mr. Iftikhar Chaudhary is removed from his job by president, Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar will sworn in as new chief justice within next few hours, Federal Cabinet and all the four provincial governments are still in power. In Islamabad and Pindi troops have taken positions on more then 42 entry points, tonight General Parvez Musharaf will address the nation within next few hours, meanwhile Governor NWFP and Chief Minister NWFP are holding a meeting their main agenda is deteriorating law and order situation in Swat district of NWFP Pakistan, life in the country is remain normal no untoward incident has taken place so far” sources have said. A government official traveling in special plane along with Justice Munir Malik and Senator Mr. Nisar Memon has confirmed  on telephone that emergency rule is imposed in Pakistan.
