Indian Army foiled fresh incursion bid by militants in J&K,one soldier& militant killed

Jammu:-  The alert troops positioned along the line of control  in Poonch on Sunday foiled fresh incursion bid  by  a group of militants and managed to kill  one heavily armed militant in fierce gunfight. One Indian solider also died in action with militants. Before entering inside the Indian territory the militants were provided cover fire from across the line of control in Pakistan.

The encounter which started since early Sunday morning was still going  on till last light.

According to army officials," a group of armed militants entered the Indian territory from Kabaristan post of Pakistan and were trapped by troops close to Kalash Indian Post between Zeroline and the border fencing along LoC in Poonch.

He said the army engaged militants and killed one of them.One soldier was also killed  in the encounter.
