Indian President, VP, PM & J&K CM, Governor greets people on the occasion of Deepawali
In her message, the President has said, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I extend my warm greetings to my fellow citizens.
Diwali, the festival of lights is a celebration of the victory of good over evil. May the festival bring happiness and prosperity to all our people and illuminate their lives with lights of hope for a better tomorrow”.
The Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari has greeted the people of our country on the occasion of Deepawali which symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth.
In a massage,the Vice President said,“I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Deepawali – the festival of lights.
Celebrated throughout the country in a mood of festivity and gaiety, Deepawali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth.
May the noble ideals of the festival prevail and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives”
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Deepawali.
In a message, Dr. Singh said that Deepawali, the festival of lights is a harbinger of joy and happiness. It is a celebration of the triumph of light over darkness and of hope over despair. That the festival is celebrated by people from diverse faiths is a significant affirmation of the great secular traditions of our country.
May this year’s Deepawali bring peace and prosperity to all our countrymen, the Prime Minister added.
The J&K Governor, N. N. Vohra, has extended warm greetings to the people on Diwali, the festival of lights.
In a message of felicitations, the Governor said that this festival symbolizes the triumph of truth and righteousness over falsehood and of good over evil and reminds us of the civilisational ethos of our country.
The Governor hoped that the festival will further strengthen communal harmony, brotherhood, amity and secularism, which are the hallmark of our glorious composite cultural traditions and would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has greeted people on the eve of Dewali, the festival of lights. In his Dewali greeting message Chief Minister expressed hope that the bonds of love and brotherhood between different sections of the society will further strengthen and the tradition of celebrating festivals in amity becomes stronger.
Chief Minister also wished well being of the people, prosperity of the country and peace and development in the state.
Former Chief Minister and patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti have greeted people on the occasion of Deepawali.
In a message PDP extended their warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Deepawali – the festival of lights.
PDP leaders said Diwali symbolised the elimination of all 'negative forces that impede our progress. May the glow of Diwali fill the lives of our people with happiness and prosperity?
Greeting people on the this auspcious occasion, PDP leaders further said Deepawali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth. “May the noble ideals of the festival prevail and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives,” they stated.
Minister of State for R&B, Javaid Ahmad Dar and MLA Kulgam, Mohammad Yosuf Tarigami have extended warm greetings to the people of the State, especially Hindu brethren on the eve of Deepawali.
In a message, both the leaders prayed for peace and normalcy and hoped that the festival of lights will prove harbinger of an orderly and just society, free from all exploitative practices.
