Indian President, VP, PM, J&K Governor, CM greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr



 


 


New Delhi/Jammu/Srinagar,September 11 (Scoop News) -The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil,Vice President M. Hamid Ansari ,Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, J&K Governor N. N. Vohra,Chief Minister Omar Abdulla and Ministers ministers have extended warm greetings to the people on the happy and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.


In her message the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has said, “I have great pleasure in extending my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Idu’l Fitr.

Idu’l Fitr brings joy and happiness on the culmination of the month of Holy Ramzan, a period of fasting, prayer and charity. May this festival strengthen our faith in oneness, compassion and tolerance and instill in us a sense of brotherhood and goodwill towards all.

Let us rededicate ourselves on this day to the service of humanity”. 


 


The Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari has greeted the people on the joyous occasion on Id-ul-Fitr. In his message he has said that may this auspicious occasion bring amity, prosperity and happiness in our lives.


 


“I extend my greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.


 


Id-ul-Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of ‘Ramzan’ is celebrated with fervour and traditional gaiety inspiring compassion and brotherhood.


The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.


Dr. Singh, in his message said that Eid, celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramzan, is associated with sacrifice, kindness and help for the needy. He hoped that the festival which is a thanksgiving in the name of god would usher in peace, prosperity and happiness.


 


In a message of felicitations, the Governor N. N. Vohra, wished the people peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and hoped that this joyous occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmark of the State’s glorious pluralistic traditions.
The Governor prayed that the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr would restore normalcy and mark the end of the disturbances which have caused so much human, economic and educational loss to the people of the Valley.


Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has greeted the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr praying the day is harbinger for peace and tranquillity in the State.
In an Eid message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of our responsibility towards poor a needy and inculcates the spirit of sharing happiness and joy with everyone. He said Islam teaches peace, brotherhood, amity and love besides tolerance and patience. He said Eid is an occasion to rededicate ourselves to the teachings of Islam and preaching’s of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said let us all pledge today to work unitedly for the peace, prosperity and well being of the State and its people.
Omar expressed the hope that the Eid will open a new chapter of progress and all round development in the State in a peaceful atmosphere.

Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand also extended Eid greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a felicitation message, Tara Chand said that the day symbolizes love, compassion and benevolence. He hoped that the day would be harbinger of peace, prosperity and tranquility in the State.
Speaker J &K Assembly, Mohammad Akbar Lone and Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, S Arivinder Singh Micky have felicitated people on Eid.
In their separate messages, they said the festival will be harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. They also prayed for early return of peace and tranquility in Kashmir valley.

Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather , Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for PHE, Taj Mohiuddin, Miniister for CA&PD, Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for Agriculture, Gh Hassan Mir, Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitaion, Raman Bhalla, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Aga Syed Ruhulla Mehdi, Minister for Social Welfare, Ms Sakina Itoo, Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Syed, Minister for Forests, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Minister for Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Industries and Commerce, S S Slathia, Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Medical Education, R S Chib and Ministers of State including Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Nasir Aslam Wani, Shabir Ahmad Khan, Javid Ahmad Dar, Aijaz Ahmad Khan and MLA Khansahab , Hakim Mohammad Yasin have greeted people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In their joint message, the Ministers hoped that the festival will be harbinger of peace, prosperity and tranquility in the state. They also prayed for early return of peace and normalcy in Kashmir valley.


Minister for Higher Education and Labour and Employment Abdul Gani Malik has greeted people on Eid-ul-Fitr. In a message, the Minister hoped that the holy festival will herald a new era of peace, tranquility and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla extended Eid greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Minister said that the festival will be harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, MLA Kulgam, M. Y. Tarigami has also conveyed his felicitations to the people on Eid-ul-Fitr. While wishing peace, progress and success to the people of the state, the legislator prayed for return of lasting calm and serenity in Kashmir valley.
The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon has greeted the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid –ul-Fitr.
Samoon hoped that this happy and prosperous occasion would be a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the State.
