J&K Chief Minister inaugurating Kashmir Economic Summit organized by KPCC on Saturday in New Delhi

Jammu/Delhi,September 25 (Vijay Kumar)-Kashyap Progressive Commerce and Commercial Foundation(KPCC) founded by displaced Kashmiri Pandit community entrepreneurs and professionals from across the world have come together to hold Kashmir economic summit, with an aim of wooing investors and creating jobs in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashyap Progressive Commerce and Commercial Foundation (KPCC) organizing oneday Kashmir Economic Summit to be held in New delhi on Saturdayu September 26. It will be inaugurated by Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who will be the chief guest for the inaugural function, and Shri Farooq Abdullah, Minister for New and Renewable Energy will be the chief guest for the valedictory function. The guests of honor for the various functions include Salman Khurshid, Minister of Corporate Affairs and Minority Affairs and Haseeb A Drabu, Chairman & CEO, J&K Bank.
The daylong summit would discuss issues like removing hurdles and bureaucratic redtape and ask the J&K state government to take steps towards it, he added.

Vikram Bhat ,an IT professional in New Delhi and coordinator of the summit told Ground Report,that the event will also be attended by Australiabased entrepreneur Vikas Rambal, who is also the promoter of Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers, Samsung India Electronics Deputy Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi and Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation Chief Executive Officer Kapil Kaul. Involvement of civil society, assisting local entrepreneurship, promoting education and poverty alleviation would also be discussed during the summit. "Our aim is to promote harmony and friendly interaction in the state, besides trying to create a conducive environment for investment and creating jobs,"he added.

Vikram said,Kashmir Economic Summit, aims to take this a step further by chalking out the blueprint for the role that will be played by Kashmir in the future development of the country. Kashmir Economic Summit aims to raise the economic profile of the state with emphasis on opportunity creation for the younger generation. The Summit offers tremendous opportunity for understanding the opportunities the State has to offer, and the State will be able to understand what it takes to involve industry for economic development of the State, to reflect and to plan for what can be a very exciting future for the State. The focus would be on Combating negative impact of turbulence on the economy, business sentiments and on populace Catalyzing greater involvement of civil society at national and international level for tangibly contributing to the economic revival of the state.

Austrlian based Kahmiri Pandit entrepreneur Vikas Rambal who is interested to contribute to the economic development of Jammu and Kashmir. He has planned to invest100 crore in J&K state. In first meeting of pre Kashmir Economic Summit he told that J&K state requires investment to generate jobs for unemployed youth. Vikas Rambal told that Kashyap Progressive Commerce and Commercial Foundation (KPCC) can play pivotal role in the economic reconstruction of Jammu and Kashmir. Rambal also told that given a chance he would invest in the projects along with other Kashmiri Pandits all over the world. Mr Vikas came to India specially to discuss these matters.
