J&K DGP reviews security arrangements on the opening of Darbar move

Jammu, November 07 (Scoop News) – DGP J&K chairs meetings of senior officers of Police, Security, Traffic, CID/Central Intelligence Agencies and CRPF and reviews the security and law and order arrangements made for six months of Winter Capital functioning in Jammu .

The participating Officers of Intelligence Agenices briefed the DGP about the available inputs and their assessment over the security and law and order situation in Jammu region. Police/Traffic/CID/Security Wing Officers also briefed DGP J&K about the arrangements they have made for enhancing the security and law and order arrangements during the functioning of Winter Capital in Jammu . They also briefed the DGP about the additional law and order arrangements they have put in place around Civil Secretariat and other places in the City in view of the Bandh Call given by BJP supported by other parties for 8th Nov. which is also the opening day of Darbar.

DGP while briefing the officers asked them to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements during the functioning of Winter Capital in Jammu . Special emphasis for maintenance of law and order on the opening day of Darbar was laid as BJP and other allied parties have given a call for Jammu Bandh.

DGP issued detailed instructions to DIG Traffic Jammu about bringing improvement in the regulation of traffic and booking the violators of traffic rules. He desired that the traffic deployment should be dynamic. More Traffic personnel be deployed where traffic jams are frequent. The Traffic squads should immediately rush to the places where traffic is jammed on the given day.

He also laid emphasis on stepping up anti-militancy operations in hinter land for wiping out the residual militancy and vigil on IB/LOC to check infiltration from across the Border.

The meeting was attended by IGP Jammu Zone, IGP Security J&K, IGP Armed Police Jammu Zone, DIG CID Jammu, DIG Traffic, DIG Armed, DIG IRP,DIG CRPF, DC Jammu/SSP Jammu /SSP Security/SSP CID SB Jammu/SP CID CI Jammu and other Officers of Intelligence Agencies and territorial SsP of Jammu District besides SP PCR Jammu and APCR Jammu.
