J&K Police rescues 3 boys from joining militancy,arrests financial commander of HM



 


Srinagar, January 27 (Scoop News) – J&K Police of Awantipora today achieved a major success by arresting financial commander and coordinator of HM outfit namely Ali Mohammad Naik son of Abdul Ahad Naik of Amirabad Tral and recovered Rs 100,000/- Indian Currency (Hawala Money), one Chinese grenade, stamp of HM and some receipts of distributed money from his possession. The arrested militant Ali Mohammad Naik has been coordinating different assignments of different HM modules as well as providing financial and logistic support to HM outfit for last 02 years. He was under Police surveillance from past sometime.


According to sources Awantipora police received information that Ali Mohammad Naik is distributing money to sympathizers of HM outfit in Tral area. Acting on tip off, a special Naka was established by Police, 185 Bn CRPF and 42 RR on Satura road near Tral and he was arrested with Hawala Money, receipts & seal of HM. Case FIR No.09/2011 U/S 5/25 A. Act, 17, 20 U.L.A stands registered in P/S Tral  and investigation has been set into motion.


Meanwhile Kulgam Police has rescued three boys from joining militancy in village Kujar of Yaripora area and after counseling, handed them over to their parents. The young boys were identified as Adil Hussain Baba son of Ghulam Mohammad Baba, Adil Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Maqbool and Asif Ahmad Ganaie son of Shamas-ud-Din residents of Kujar Yaripora. The trio who are studying in 9th and 10th class had approached one surrendered militant for joining militancy but the later had refused to help them.


          Keeping in view the young and tender age of these boys, Police has advised these young boys to peruse their studies and not fall prey to the machinations of forces inimical to peace.    


Kulgam Police also unearthed a major racket involved in printing and circulation of Fake Currency in Anantnag-Kulgam area.


According to S.P Kulgam Mubashir Latifi, on the basis of a special intelligence developed by Incharge Police Post Mir Bazar, two persons namely Amir Altaf Mir son of Mohammad Altaf Mir and Mehraj-ud-Din Sofi son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Sofi residents of Batangoo Anantnag were apprehended and Rs. 246000/= Fake Indian Currency was recovered from their possession. During interrogation the duo disclosed that they were involved in printing and circulation of Fake Indian Currency Notes with one Farooq Ahmad Dar resident of Batangoo Anantnag who happens to be an employee of PHE Department at Anantnag. Raids are being conducted to arrest him as he is absconding. Case FIR No. 17/2011 under section 489A, 489B, 489C RPC has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and the investigation of case is on. Arrest of more persons is expected in the coming days.
