JK CPIM condemns foreign intervention on Libya

Jammu, March 21 (Scoop News) –    Mohd Yousf Tarigami,State secretary, CPI (M) strongly condemns the foreign intervention in Libya by the NATO and other allied forces.

The logic given of protecting the Libyan people by utilizing the United Nation’s Security Council resolution is a gross violation of Libya’s sovereignty and a calculated intervention in an internal conflict to bring about regime change, the CPI (M) believes..

He said that the CPI (M) unequivocally condemns the hypocrisy of the Western powers which can be seen in their connivance with the Saudi military intervention to crush the popular and peaceful revolt in Bahrain. The West has no compunction in resorting to force to secure its interests in oil-rich Libya and the Middle East.

Wanting no more situations like Iraq’s, Afghanistan’s the CPI (M) calls upon all the democratic and progressive forces in India and the world to strongly protest yet another military aggression by America and its allies on an Arab-African country.
