JK Governor for relationship among education institutions to improve quality of education
Jammu,December 19 (Scoop News) – The Governor, N. N. Vohra, has called for forging a close, meaningful and effective relationship among the Universities and their affiliated colleges and between the colleges and the high and higher secondary schools for progressively improving the educational standards and the quality of teaching in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Governor observed that this vertical and lateral synergy among the educational institutions could bring about significant improvements in the standards of education and the quality of teaching, for the larger benefit of the entire student community. He added that there is a need for further supplementing the resources for the universities, colleges and the high and higher secondary schools so that they are able to effectively meet their objectives.
Referring to the participation of the children of the
Congratulating the teachers, and the students and their parents on the joyous occasion of the Annual Day, the Governor appreciated the locale and setting of the School and was happy to observe that more than half of the total strength of the students of the institution had collectively presented an outstanding performance – “Rangon ki Duniya” – a dance drama staged on the occasion. He congratulated the students and wished them bright careers ahead.
Earlier, on arrival at the function, the Governor was received by the management, staff and students of the School.

In his welcome address, the Principal of the School, Dr. R. D. Thakur, gave details of the achievements of the institution in academic, sports and other extra-curricular activities. He thanked the Governor for blessing the students at the annual day function and added that this would be a great source of inspiration and encouragement for them.
The function was attended by a large gathering which included the management, staff, students, their parents and prominent citizens.
