JK Governor for relationship among education institutions to improve quality of education

Jammu,December 19 (Scoop News) – The Governor,  N. N. Vohra, has called for forging a close, meaningful and effective relationship among the Universities and their affiliated colleges and between the colleges and the high and higher secondary schools for progressively improving the educational standards and the quality of teaching in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Governor, as Chief Guest, was addressing the 13th Annual Day Function of the K. C. Public School in Jammu today.

The Governor observed that this vertical and lateral synergy among the educational institutions could bring about significant improvements in the standards of education and the quality of teaching, for the larger benefit of the entire student community. He added that there is a need for further supplementing the resources for the universities, colleges and the high and higher secondary schools so that they are able to effectively meet their objectives.

Referring to the participation of the children of the Government School, Narayana, a border village, at the Annual Day function of the K. C. Public School today, the Governor observed that such relationships and close ties between an urban resourceful educational institution and a rural school can immensely benefit the children of the latter. He hoped that such amicable collaborations would be enlarged and further strengthened in the coming years. “If the urban schools which are fortunate to have sound financial resources and good infrastructure, provide help and collateral support to institutions which are not so fortunate such laudable initiatives shall boost the cause of quality education”.

Congratulating the teachers, and the students and their parents on the joyous occasion of the Annual Day, the Governor appreciated the locale and setting of the School and was happy to observe that more than half of the total strength of the students of the institution had collectively presented an outstanding performance – “Rangon ki Duniya” – a dance drama staged on the occasion. He congratulated the students and wished them bright careers ahead.

Earlier, on arrival at the function, the Governor was received by the management, staff and students of the School.

The Vice Chairman of the School,  Raju Choudhary presented a memento to the Governor.
