Junta-leaders Resigning from Military Posts.....
Some of senior army officers set out from military posts yesterday. Since mid-day, rumors spread in Yangon. At 3:00 pm of yesterday, news about steping down of Myanmar junta leaders from military ranks widely spread and phone-lines were busied.
Some said Senior General Than Shwe included in it but some not.
Deadline foir submittion of candidates is on Aug.30. People said they will enter in election upcoming as candidates from Pyi-khine Phyo party, Union Soliditary and Development Party( USDP party).
They will become civilian president.
Also 27 senior military officer retired in last April for election 2010, they have to become civilian political leaders after election.
In election 1990, Aung San Suu Kyi's party, National League for Dempcracy won landslide victory but junta did not share power since then.Than Shwe,77 ruled aMyanmar since 1992.
On Aug. 31 newspaper, there has been published as Senior General Than Shwe . Rumors are that Than Shwe and Maung Aye do not resign so far.
They disappeared from pages of daily newspapers for three days. And after 3 days, Than Shwe has appeared as senior army officer.
