KPSS condemnes the act done by a small portion of the right wing Hindu groups in Delhi

Srinagar, October 22 (Scoop News) –Kashmiri Pandit Sangrash Samiti (KPSS) of Srinagar condemned the act done by a small portion of the right wing Hindu groups in Delhi under the KP banner to widen the gap between the Kashmiri communities. The role of Delhi Government and the organizers should also be put on scanner while allowed the people to instigate the situation that can lead to more damage in Kashmir Valley.

Sanjay K. Tickoo,President, Kashmiri Pandit Sangrash Samiti (KPSS) of Srinagar in a statement said that in 2008, during infamous Shri Amarnath Land Row, when so called Indian mechanism failed to protect the rights and lives of Minorities in the Valley from the un-scrupulous elements, it was Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who gave sigh of relief to the minorities living by showing concern and send his cadre to protect the minorities whenever needed.

In 2010 also it was only Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who protected the minorities from the unscrupulous elements who were bent to damage the minorities in the different parts of Kashmir,Sanjat said.

This clearly indicates whatever the political or religious ideologies Syed Ali Shah Geelani belongs to, he always extend the helping hand to the minorities in the hour of need.

Statement said that KPSS believe that India as per the Constitution possesses a mature democracy, which is gifted with gripping political dissents and diverse viewpoints, and everyone should be allowed to use this opportunity. Also, every one has right to accept or reject any body’s views, which is also an intrinsic part of democracy but the denial must be decent, civil and in a democratic way.

Statement also expressed disappointment on the part of local press; who try to add fuel to the every action that can divide the Kashmir on Communal lines. He requested the local press to give genuine coverage to the role CBM’s from any quarter for the better Kashmir rather than selling “Masala News” for increasing sale of their respective newspapers. As the shoe thrower was not even a Kashmiri, but the news was circulated that the delinquent person was a KP.

KPSS shows concern about the recent statements about the expected pros and cons of the visit of US President to India, which shows that the minorities in the Valley may be targeted by the agencies across the boarder or by the State / Non State Actors.  This indicates that these unscrupulous elements are bent to harm the minorities for the benefit of their masters across the boarders.

KPSS appealed to the masses to be vigilant especially minorities living in the valley and appeals them not to open their doors between dusk to dawn, who so ever it may be, and if they feel that something fishy around them then they should beat their roof top to signal their neighbours that something untoward is going to happen.

KPSS in a statement appealed to the local press that they should always try to avoid the negative forces statements / actions which unnecessarily gives the opportunity to those forces who are bent upon to already disturb, isolated, overall Kashmiri Society.
