Kuwait To Deport 17,000 Illegal Immigrants Including Sri Lankans

The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry has been planning to Deport 17,000 Illegal Immigrants who are in Custody including 1000 Sri Lankans at the end of the year "The Kuwaiti Times "Reported today.The Interior  Ministry already applied for Air Tickets through the Central Tender Board for the returning of these Immigrants to their countries.These Illegal Immigrants belongs to 22 Countries.

This Batch is the largest Batch to be Deported from Kuwait since the Country's Independence after the Iraqi Invasion in 1991.In 2006 Kuwaiti Government had Deported 16,000 Illegal Immigrants.Meanwhile after hearing the News on Deporting Sri Lankan Illegal Immigrants from Kuwait the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Kuwait said that still Definite Decision is not made in this regard.
