After five years of relative calm among the Line of Control, Pakistan Rangers resorted to heavy firing iin Jammu's Samba sector on Thursday in an alleged attempt to assist 15 infiltrators trying to enter India.
The terrorists were repulsed by the BSFafter a prolonged exchange of fire during which about 1000 rounds were fired and 16 grenadas Lobbed from the Pakistan side.
This is the first major incident of firing after India and Pakistan agreed to observe a ceasefire along hthe LoC on November 26, 2003
