Mother-love kept cow following calf
The picture shown in the right side, gives an open and clear message that cows have as much affection for their young as have other animals, and it is piteous to hear them mooing when deprived of their calves.
A cow in the picture had her calf taken from her in a cart (Tunga), while her love kept her continue to follow the calf. The cow does not care about being hurt by the vehicles plying on a busy road of Jammu. She continues to follow the calf, the innocent calf, which was being taken away by the owners to another place. The owner knows that cow will continue to follow the calf as this is in practice for decades while shifting the animal from one place to other.
On the occasion of Valentines Day, which is celebrated by a section of society as the day to express love and affection, nothing other than this could be the best and relevant message for those who are preparing for celebrating the Valentines Day that what difficulties, does true love overcome! If that poor dull cow could feel such love for her offspring as to overcome the usual apathy of her kind, what must be the feelings of a human mother towards her children! Can you, then, ever carelessly wound yours by your misconduct?
Mothers everywhere have always intuitively known for the unique love they have for their offspring. In effect, mother and child are ‘hard-wired’ for mutual love.
But we are not here to discuss the scientific and natural links of mother and child or cow or calf. The question which needs attention is, should we allow owners to transport animals in such a way in-between the busy roads? The answer should be no.....Not at all. It invites maximum risk, while taking away the calf from a cow. The cow (having the mother heart) can turn violent and if she does, trouble can arise and some innocent people on the road can get injured. Even the life of cow and calf is not safe at all. If some trouble arise due to the ‘fear factor’ in cow (mother heart), calf and cow both will not be safe on the road, on which many over speedy vehicles ply.
One may ask how the trouble can rise. The answer to the question is simple. The warm love and touch, generates an internal release of addicting and pleasurable opiates in cow (mother), even calf must receive ongoing neural synchrony, love, from the cow.
When bonding fails, it is theorized that the absence of these pleasure chemicals can leave a void and cow can become violent. Sensory deprivation in mother-absent children, a form of stress that stimulates the release of cortisol, can increase susceptibility to abnormalities such as depression, violence.
