Mufti seeks peoples’ support to establish equality in J&K

Jammu, October 01 (Scoop News)- Reiterating resolve of his party to full aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the state, patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said his party has emerged as genuine, strong and credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir through its convictions and visionary policies.

“The pro people visionary agenda of the party is formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society and we never compromised with our agenda for attaining power”, Mr Sayeed said while addressing a function to welcome large number of political activists from Vijaypur who have joined PDP today.

Mr Sayeed said that aim of PDP was not only to attain power but to change fate of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He sought support of the people to change destiny of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and said that it was his desire to establish a system where every sections of the society would get justice and equal opportunities for development and economic growth. “It is the people who ensure peace, security and development in their respective areas so with the power of people I want to change the system”, he said.

He reminded the gathering that PDP led regime in the state had established a system of equality and justice in the state and had carved out a path of equitable development. “It was result of our conviction that successive governments at New Delhi supported whenever steps we had taken during our tenure”, he said and reminded that previous NDA regime headed by Atal Behari Vajpayee and present UPA government headed by Dr Manmohan Singh have supported developmental agenda of PDP led regime.

He informed the gathering that during PDP led regime various developmental projects were started for Samba district. He especially mentioned that district status was given to Samba and Degree College was also opened in Samba.

General secretary of PDP Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Rajinder Manhas, Surinder Choudhary, Surjeet Kour, Deepinder Kour, Avtar Singh Khalsa, Daljit Singh Dicky, Ashok Bhat, Balbir Singh, Rashpal Singh Billowaria, Sukhvinder Singh and other senior leaders were also presen on the occasion.

Prominent among those who joined PDP included Dr Desraj, Madan Choudhary, Shiv Dayal, Paul Singh, Krishan Lal, Mohan Lal, Som Dutt and others.
